Caravan Park Terms & Conditions

Contract: The Contract for a short-term touring holiday shall be made between the Guest and Fields End Water Ltd. It will be entered into when the deposit is taken. By making a reservation you are deemed to have accepted our terms and conditions. The Contract will be subject to the following booking conditions. Fields End Water reserve the right to change or amend these terms and conditions at any time. We also reserve the right to terminate the agreement/booking without refund of money if the behaviour of any guest is considered unacceptable, site rules are broken or if the number of occupants exceeds that stated at the time of booking.

At the time of booking, full contact details and a deposit will be required, to secure your pitch. By booking, you give Fields End Water permission for your contact details to be held on our data base. We will not share any details with a 3rd party and any banking details will be destroyed immediately.

If we do not hear from you within 48 hours, we will deem that you have read and accepted our terms & conditions.

Booking Conditions:   We take a non-refundable deposit for all bookings (£40, up to 7 nights stay & £80 for 8 to 14 nights, £120 for bookings of 15 nights plus) here at Fields End Water. The balance of your holiday is due 5 days prior to your arrival, you will receive an email reminder with a link to pay online, highly recommended. There may be an admin fee of £5 if you call in to pay. If the balance has not been received, we reserve the right to re-let your pitch. If you do not have an email address, you will need to diarise the due date and call in, there will be no admin fee for this. (We apologise for all admin charges; they are designed to cut down phone calls and cancellations).

For bookings over Christmas & New Year, we take a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. The non-refundable balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival, sorry, we cannot carry forward any payments made, if the holiday is cancelled for ANY reason. We highly recommend that guests take out holiday cancellation insurance.

Cancellation Policy: Any cancellation made by the guests, for whatever reason must be on paper or by email. If you cancel your holiday for ANY reason, giving more than 14 days’ notice, we can transfer your deposit to your next booking (needs to be used within 12 months of original date of the holiday). If you cancel giving 14 days’ notice or less, the deposit will be lost. Also, we are unable to offer refunds for early departures, sorry. You will (if you have given us an email address) receive an email 15 days before your arrival, giving you the opportunity to pay your balance online. If you cancel after you have paid the full balance, you will lose your deposit and a £20 admin charge, the remainder will be carried forward to your next booking.

 We highly recommend that guests take out holiday cancellation insurance.

If Fields End Water are unable to provide your booked holiday and have to make a cancellation before it is due to start due to circumstances within our control, you will be entitled to a full refund of the money you have paid. Fields End Water will not accept liability for any associated costs or compensation.

Fields End Water are not liable for refunds, or expenses you incur, in the event we are prevented from fulfilling your booking as a result of circumstances beyond our control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, pandemics, health risks or such similar events (“Force Majeure”). Any cancellations for bookings made after 1st April 2020, will not be refunded due to Coronavirus based issues.

Adjust Booking: If you have cancelled a booking and we are holding a deposit for you, when you decide you would like to re-book (within 12 months of your original holiday date), please reply to the cancellation email you will have been sent, with your new dates and we will rebook your holiday and send you an email confirmation. If you wish to re-book over the phone, we will add a £10 admin fee to your booking, if you decide to book over the phone, please mention your booking reference at the beginning of the conversation. We will then be able to carry your deposit forward. We will confirm your new booking by email.

Check In & Out: Check-in is from 12:15pm – 8pm April – September, 12pm – 6pm – October, November & March. If you are later than these times, you will either be asked to park on the late night arrival point or be given a "virtual check in" (unaccompanied by a member of staff). 
Check out is no later than 11am.

Please try not to arrive earlier than 12:15pm as your pitch may not be ready as the previous guests may have only checked out at 11am.
*With regard to check out, if you would like to stay later than 11am and there is no incoming guest on your pitch, you can stay until 5pm for an additional charge, if you wish to check out late, please confirm with us first.

Pitch Requests: If you have requested a particular pitch number or to be next to your friends/family, we will do our very best to reserve it for you, but I am afraid we can’t guarantee it. However, we will guarantee your requested pitch type, or you may get a free upgrade, but never a down grade without your permission. If you have chosen the “Pick A Pitch Option” and paid the additional charge, you are guaranteed that pitch on arrival.

Children: Sorry, we are an adult only park. We don't allow anyone under the age of 18, as a guest or a visitor, anyone under the age of 18 will not be able to stay and there will be no refund. 

Dog Friendly: We are an extremely dog friendly park, with on-site walks around the fishing lakes and the 5-acre wood. We also have miles of public footpaths leading from the park to explore the wild wilderness of The Fens - In 2022 we are introducing a 2km, marked and mapped onsite walk. We also have a dog off the lead area and eight dog-poo bins on site and a water bowl at our reception.

Dogs must be always kept on a lead while on site. We ask that you clean up immediately after your dog so we can maintain the high standard of cleanliness of our site grounds, failing to do so will result in being asked to leave the park, without refund. Maximum of 4 dogs per unit/pitch or 1 dog/pod. However, as we are a quiet & peaceful park, if you are unable to control your dog from continuously barking, then Fields End Water, probably isn't the park for you and we may have to ask you to leave without refund.

Public Transport: A limited bus timetable is available from the site that goes to Doddington, March and Wisbech. Please ask at reception for bus times.

WI-FI Access: We now have satellite Wi-Fi here at Fields End Water, you can get an excellent reception from the comfort of your own caravan/motorhome/tent, and there is no restriction on usage. We will give you details of how to purchase the Wi-Fi on arrival.

On-site Shop (open between April – September, October, November & March, limited hours and limited stock).

We have an excellent on-site shop that stocks most everyday conveniences such as: milk, bread, free range eggs, butter, ice creams, newspapers, homemade jams, caravan supplies and plenty of fishing bait and tackle including maggots.

Hard Standings: We have 46 hard standing pitches across the park, which are all fully serviced, we do request that motorhomes use hard standings between the months of October and April inclusive. We only use hard standings pitches for all units in November & December, March and October are weather dependent.

Fully Serviced Pitches: On the Main Park all our pitches are fully serviced, our grass pitches have a 6m x 4m patch of astro turf to park your unit on. If you wish to hook up to the services, you may need between 6 & 14 metres of hose and waste pipe, depending which way around your van is parked and which side your services exit your van. We do sell waste and water hose pipe in reception, if you are a little short.

The Paddock and the Caravan Club CL have pitches with just an electric hook up, with shared water and waste hook-ups.

 

Awnings/Groundsheets/Storage Tents: Are welcome: if an awning is required with a ground sheet it MUST be a BREATHABLE type. Storage tents are only chargeable if on grass pitches, as they don’t have breathable groundsheets and they can damage the grass.

Tents: We can only accept tents no larger than 6 meters x 4 meters, tents will then fit on our Astro turf squares, without killing the grass.

Fire & Barbeques: No fires are allowed on site. Barbeques are welcomed, no direct heat or flames to grass.

Visitors: All visitors to the site must be announced and over the age of 18, we do ask for a minimum donation of £3 and the proceeds will go to Cancer Research.

Minimum nights: We reserve the right to not accept bookings of 1 night over weekends, and we ask for a minimum of 3 nights between 1st July – mid September.

Waterside                       - 3 nights

Bank Holiday periods  - 3 nights

Easter                              - 4 nights  

There is an additional charge per night during these periods.

Data Protection: The information taken at time of booking is required to be collected for the purposes of processing your reservation at Fields End Water.  We may process your data to keep you informed of our activities and to keep you updated with news, offers and other information that may be of interest to you. If you do not want us to use your information for the marketing purposes described in this paragraph, please let us know. We may also disclose your data to CampStead Ltd who may contact you, inviting you to complete a questionnaire and review regarding your stay at our park.
